The post holder will work as part of the Facilities Management (FM) team providing an efficient, effective and quality operational facilities and maintenance service to the wider University community

The pay rate differs from £10.42 – £13.50 per hour depending on your FO/Aexperience, the location and the client.

 Main Duties can involve:

· Carry out portering duties, including the movement of furniture, setting up meeting rooms and for events
· Carry out minor maintenance works to a high standard and in compliance with Health and Safety guidelines and legislation
· Planning of work and requesting of tools, materials and equipment required to complete tasks
· Carry out statutory checks including fire alarm testing, flushing water systems and temperature checks for legionella prevention
· Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the FM management team or senior managers within Estate Facilities Management Service (EFMS) Other Duties

Compulsory Requirements:

· Eligibility to work in the UK, all your own right to work documents
· Safey Shoes and Hi-vis vest
· Must have worked in a similar operational role .i.e. caretaker, porter, building attendant et
· A command and understanding of the English language and ability to communicate verbally with people on all levels
· Ability to move heavy items safely
